All through my life people either wanted something to be my friend or had a hidden agenda. It wasn’t until I started being clean that I began, what I now consider, to be true friends. People who willingly, and without any other reason then just being nice people, did something for me. There are two people recently who have come into my life…and they are both addicts and both wonderful sharing people. If you are reading my blog, I hope you will also visit theirs as they are helping me with getting my messed up life on track simply by taking a little time and showing that they care.
The first one is Samsara. Her blog about addiction is http://samsara.ihostyou.com . Not only is her blog nicely done but she has good stories to share about her experiences. She has been in communication with me off the site and has offered to do so many things for me… including helping me with my site. She is a powerful and talented web master / designer and she is a caring and loving person… and if that’s her picture on her blog, she’s pretty too boot!
The other new friend comes all the way from Malaysia! He sent me some entrecard credits and commented on my blog. His link is http://arahman7.blogspot.com/. I have read several of his posts and they are wonderful and have helped me in my recovery.
Both of these people have helped me. I am forming a new chain of friends. These are my first few golden links. How wonderful. How unexpected and how blessed I truly am.
I have added their blogs to my link list so you can always visit them. I know I will.

Samsara is a good friend. Love her too, lol!
Day 57, huh? Congratulations! Keep it up. You can do it. One day at a time.
Thanks for the link.
Greetings and lots of love from Malaysia.

Hi Rick,
It’s totally cool, isn’t it–unconditional love–’we only keep what we have by giving it away’.
You sound good, buddy.
You’re doing GREAT!!
See ya soon,
Love,
Fran

Look at you! Today would be day 59 if all is well and I am hopeful it is!
I think that is the NEATEST thing about recovery I have found too, Rick; People wanting to be your friend and to help you for no reason but that they care.
You have your own cheering section you know! LoL
I said to Arahman over at my blog under your website introduction that we need to stick together…Recovery folk in the blogosphere and I just said it because it occurs to me how much YOU have helped ME with my recent events.
You know?
So…it’s about freely sharing with each other what others gave us I guess. But on a more personal level, I LOVE an underdog’s story…and us recovering from *ANYthing* is an underdog story isn’t it?
Yes, those are shots of my mug floating about that site and thank you for all the compliments. :))))
Arahman, so good to see you here supporting our friend too.
Life just keeps getting better and better in recovery!
Love,
Samsara
PS. THANK you for the backlink Rick! I’m still gonna do something extra spoecial for you and Arahman…I just need to think a little while longer.
